"Please enjoy my series of mixed media paintings 'Halcyon Days', drawn and painted on acid free archival paper with a limited palette, and floated behind glass in a museum quality white frame for sale.
I wanted to show intimate glimpses of everyday life in the Egypt of the bygone era, the era of my grandparents in the 1930s.
This series depicts events that occurred in everyday life among the Bourgeoisie in Egypt.... the Halcyon Days of those vibrant cosmopolitan communities when people of different religions - Christians, Muslims and Jews - celebrated each other's festivals and attended each other's weddings, played cards, enjoyed afternoon tea on sunny terraces in the winters of Cairo, sailed in Alexandria's harbour in summer, danced the night away at the frequent balls, and fell in love.
All memories of a world long gone."
